Three iPods were given out as drawing prizes for those that completed Bemis' Summer Reading program. Here are photos of the happy teens claiming their iPod prizes.

Bemis held a Dragon Painting program as a final art related program for the summer reading program. Participants signed up during other programs they had attended, and here they are caught in action. (There was an unfortunate dragon accident and one was painted headless.)

Nancy Avalon, Henna artist, did a super job with a Bemis Henna Dragon program. She is shown here applying henna designs to several Bemis teens. She is available for henna programs and henna parties, and she can be reached at 303-794-5227.

Teens, here is a list of the nominations for the 2006 Teen's Top Ten Books. You will have a chance to vote for them during Teen Read Week October 15-21, 2006. Bemis owns them all!

Bemis held a Dragon Scratch art program today. The participating teens had the opportunity to pick from four different designs and scratch them onto a silver scratch board. Here are examples of the teens working on the boards and some completed projects. Look for another scratch art project sometime in the Fall of 2006.

Bemis just held its second Red Cross Babysitting class. Class participants are shown eating their lunch while watching over their individual babies and practicing rescue breathing. Another class may be offered at Bemis during Littleton Public School's Christmas break. Thanks to those of you that made the Summer classes a success!

The first person in will get the Warrior and Dragon that was in the glass display, and the other four will receive a $5 gift certificate to Sophie's Place (the cafeteria located within Bemis).
There were a total of 73 tickets entered, the chances for the iPods keep getting better!

If you participated in the Henna program, you have a chance to get the henna you received replaced with new henna. You will also have the opportunity to get another henna design painted on you by Nancy Avalon. This is open to those that turned in permission slips or would be willing to get a permission slip signed. She will be at Bemis in the conference room on Tuesday, July 25th and Thursday, July 27th at 11:00 am both days. Questions? please contact Anthony at 303-975-3961.

There will be about 15 cool giveaways this week. Come into the library and ask for Anthony during the following hours-- Monday, July 17, 9 to 5; Tuesday July 18, 9 to 5; Wednesday July 19, 12 to 9pm; Thursday July 20 9 to 5, and Friday 2:00 to 5, and give me the codeword "Baldur" and you will receive one of fifteen giveaways.
