Bemis has finally purchased a Wii gaming system! Believe me, I have been looking for one for quite a while. The system will be unveiled during our Spring Game Night on April 25, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Please come and join us for pizza, board games, computer games, and of course, the Wii!

Bemis will host three babysitting classes during the Summer of 2008. This one-day program is focused on those between the ages of 11-17. Topics covered include: responsible play, picking up and holding children, feeding, emergency procedures, identifying appropriate toys, and hygiene (handwashing). The class is held at Bemis Public Library from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. Class size is limited to 12 participants and they fill up fast! The cost for the class is $59 and registration is done by calling the Red Cross directly at 303-722-7474

Registration for the great collaborative effort between the Binning Family Foundation and Bemis Public Library will begin on Tuesday, May 27. You will need to come to the library to fill out the registration form for the 8 week program. Film school will begin on June 3, and will be held from Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Cost for this program is $50 and scholarships are available. The Summer Film School is held at the Binning Family Foundation, 1269 W. Littleton Blvd. Program is limited to 40 participants from 6th grade up to 12th grade. The theme for the 2008 Summer Film School is "Read and Renew the Earth".
